On the 8th of July, pupils from year 5 & 6 camped on the school grounds as part of their theme ‘Summer Camp.’ On the Friday afternoon, we were very fortunate to welcome Rhydian Wilson to the school, one of Ceredigion’s Duke of Edinburgh leaders. He showed the children how to set up the tents correctly and safely and he then guided the pupils whilst preparing their tents. Thank you very much to Rhydian. The pupils arrived at school on Saturday extremely excited and ready for a night of fun. The children: helped with the BBQ for supper, roasted marshmallows, drank hot chocolate, played outdoor games, developed their orienteering skills and helped to prepare breakfast which was bacon, sausages, beans, scrambled eggs, cereal and fruit. We had a fantastic time and it was a lovely opportunity for the pupils to enjoy each other’s company whilst learning new skills. A big thank you to all the staff that cared for and camped with the pupils.
